I was waiting for my seminar this morning, which apparently I am 1 hour early. Doh.
Anyway, it gave me time to actually have a proper breakfast. So I went in to a cafe named “Gone in 5”.
Small cafe but neat. Like the entrance. The staffs were friendly. The selection is simple and not complicated.
There are only 3 main categories:
1. Hot drinks :: 21 selections + 3 extras
2. Cold drinks :: 13 selections
3. Food :: 17 selections
Coffee have the largest selection. Well they are really focusing on coffee, they are a coffee shop anyway, which I think a very good thing to do in business.
Lots of other small cafe, they have an intimidating menu, confusing to choose, but not here, I can assure you that.
Anyway I’ve ordered:
1. Ham and cheese sandwich
They made it fresh for me as originally I was ordering croissant but as they run out of the croissant, they offer me to made it as sandwich which I approve straight away.
The texture of the cheese was gorgeous. Generous filings. Loving every bite. The bread as well very nice, crispy and not dried inside but soft. Drooling now.
2. White chocolate Mocha
When it came I thought it looked like latte but the aroma of coffee and chocolate were one that I haven’t smelled before. Nice. This was recommended by Frans the coffee maker. Not regretting the choice to agree with his recommendation.
The coffee was imported from Sumatra Indonesia called Horas Blend, Frans told me. It has nice flavor and aromas.
The only but if negative point was that I was expecting a bigger glass but that’s just my expectation.
Over the period I was sitting in the cafe, lots people came. I guess this cafe is another one that will stand through the test of time.
You can visit Gone in 5 at 342 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
Hour you enjoy.
To your health,
