Today I learned for the whole day about how I can appreciate all those around me. A leader has to honor their teams.

During the day, my wife got angry with our daughter because she didn’t listen to her. Thank God, this is where I can learn to still praise my daughter when she apologises to her mother and hug her mom and ask for her forgiveness.

Through Maxwell Leadership I also learned that we best communicate compliments to those we lead by:

  1. Make them sincere. Be genuine and authentic about what you say.
  2. Make them specific. Get very pointed and detailed about what you say.
  3. Make them public. Declare these honoring words in front of others.
  4. Make them personal. Be personal about what you say.

Today what I experienced was not about what my team has done and my responses but to remember what is the lesson that God wants me to learn. I thank God for this. He keeps on reminding me about being close to Him and that he looks at me with an imaginary “10” on my forehead… He sees me perfectly no matter what.

Thank you God.

Live life to the fullest and expect success and God’s favor all the time.
