Ecclesiastes 9 : 11-12

11 I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

12 People can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy.

Verse 1-10 , Solomon says that life is short and that we have to enjoy life, your wife, etc.

Verse 13-14, Solomon says that we need to have wisdom, with the fear of God.

The meaning of life we can’t presume. Success is not always like true like it is (Like the world define)

Definition of success is we understand and we do what God’s plan in our lives.

A lot of the time people lead their lives by their time but not by where they are going. (Time vs Compass)

Clock talks about appointment and time but Compass talks about directions and meaning of where we are going.

Our compass defines our why. Many people experience lostness, peace less, purposeless because they live with the clock and not with the compass!

The mortality of life, we can’t predict.
